These are tough economic times—we all know that.  What nonprofits could really use are some good ways to put their heads together and tap into other experienced leaders who can help them analyze the situation and determine the best strategies.   While leaders are anxious to do something, they also want to be smart in making those important decisions.

After hearing these concerns over and over, we decided to partner with several colleagues and research the strategies and find the stories of how other nonprofits have successfully addressed challenges in these tough times.  We pulled this information together and shared it with everyone, so that each nonprofit did not have to research the options on their own.  Instead, we hope that you will find some ideas in this work, and then be able to dig more deeply into only those strategies that seem most relevant to your organization.
