We pay attention to where you are in the collaboration ‘life cycle’, and then to what services and support will best help you achieve your goal. For example, you may want to build on community interest in collaboration and help get local partnerships underway. In communities with a similar goal, we have paired a keynote address with a lively facilitated discussion among a diverse group of community leaders, building interest and momentum. We followed that with customized workshops for nonprofits, funders, and local consultants, all with the goal of identifying community collaboration goals and building the partnerships to achieve them. For those who want to strengthen or repair their collaboration, we might suggest starting with a good diagnostic tool. The best one we know is the Collaboration Factors Inventory. The Inventory can be used as a simple self-assessment tool; if you need a deeper look from an outside viewpoint, we offer consultant-led assessments. |
Once the assessment results are digested, the next step is to tackle those areas that need strengthening. Sometimes we support that strengthening process through workshops that offer specific corrective strategies and tools, and sometimes we coach local facilitators and consultants in techniques to support your partnership. Our goal is to understand what you need, and then design the package that will be right for your collaboration. |
